The history of Digby’s restaurant within the garden centre is a notable part of its story. Initially operating out of a wooden cabin, it provided a cosy dining spot for customers, serving hot drinks cakes, and sandwiches it expanded into the main store but unfortunately due to a fire incident in 2022 which led to the need for a complete renovation of the restaurant seating area and the kitchen.

Rather than being discouraged by this challenge, the Bunker family and the Alton Garden Centre team saw it as an opportunity for reinvention and improvement. The new ” All Seasons” restaurant reopened on November 1st, 2023, which is a testament to their resilience and commitment to excellence. The promise of a fresh and exciting dining experience with a new menu confirms the garden centre's dedication not only to gardening products and advice but also to providing a delightful dining experience for its valued customers.

Alton Garden Centre’s story is one of adaptability, commitment to family values and a steadfast pursuit of excellence in both gardening products and dining experiences. It continues to be a beloved establishment in the local community.
